Why Creativity Matters is a virtual talk series from Creative Review which aims to demonstrate the key role that creative thinking and design plays for brands and businesses, particularly in challenging times.

In this latest talk, we’ll explore how branded content is helping brands of all shapes and sizes cut through. First pitched as the future of advertising a decade or so ago, today branded content is increasingly being used by businesses to connect with audiences on a deeper level.

We will delve into how brands and agencies are looking beyond traditional ad campaigns in favour of a more creative, content-led approach – be it full-length films, animated shorts, podcasts, experiences, or more.

The talk will be hosted by Creative Review’s editor, Eliza Williams, who will be joined by three expert guests: Linda Knight, CCO of Observatory, a creative agency working with the likes of Nike and Netflix; ACNE London creative director James Ranson, whose clients include Dr Martens and Spotify; and Rick Chant, ECD at We Are Pi in Amsterdam, which has worked with clients from Lego to Patagonia.

The talk will take place live on May 17 at 4pm BST and is free to attend. We’d love for you to join us: please register here to take part
